Love the responses to this tweet from Hawkeye fans claiming Jack Trice was a pedophile because he married a 13 or 14 year old girl.
The reality is Cora Mae Starland reported her age as 19 when she married Trice, but there is speculation she may have lied and her age was actually 15. This was not uncommon in the early 1900's, especially among poor regions of the country. In fact, the official age of consent in Georgia was 14.
Same role Greg Brabenec had. Ricky Ciccone would be Hoodjers replacement.
Tailing about ISU Football players who have left, I will add to the story. I had a person come into Bomgaars this week who knows the 2 Algona guys who came to ISU a couple years ago. The young DL really likes what is going on in the ISU program today. Things are very hard but really likes who he works with. The QB is having issues, I was told. He might not be able to play anymore football. I was not told why.
Reynor? Not that I'm connected I'd just be surprised that no reports from CF and he played every game of Arkansas State's season.

Interesting. I'm assuming that's in reference to Manske. He had UCL surgery a couple years ago, but seemed fine last season at Iowa State. Though, I think he only threw a pass in one game (the first game) last season, but also didn't see much time on the field.

I can't be the only one who is proud that the Iowa State homegrown engineered grass field at Jack Trice Stadium, formerly known as Jack Trice Field, has both light and dark green grass. This should not be overlooked.
