10 - Iowa State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Virginia Tech
9 - Iowa, Rutgers
8 - Illinois, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Wisconsin
7 - Arizona State, Columbia, N.C. State, Oklahoma

Fewest qualifiers, Power 4 legacy schools:
1 - Duke
2 - Northwestern, Michigan State
3 - Virginia
4 - Maryland, Purdue

No qualifiers (8):
Cal Baptist, Cal State-Bakersfield, Campbell, Clarion, Hofstra, Long Island, Presbyterian, Sacred Heart

Total schools represented:
70 of 78 (not including Mercyhurst, who is reclassifying)
 
I'm just a casual so I don't know anything about their team but I am surprised to see Campbell on the list of no qualifiers. They have been a regular the last decade, so I expected the Camels to have a couple of wrestlers in.

As I understand it, the school cut scholarships and funding to the wrestling program last year. They also made a coaching change. So they're probably not keeping or attracting top recruits. A few years ago, Cary Kolat (renowned college great) was their coach but he moved on to Navy.

sorry but if you can't produce qualifiers you cant stay in D1 -
its not fair to the sport, the school or the kids

3 AA and a lot of blood round heart ache / hopefully some our guys in 9-13 can out pace seed and make top 8
For guys like Grice, Euton, Dean, and MJ, the draw they get for matchups will make as big a difference as whatever seed they get. Like any big tournament, the draw you get determines an awful lot.

Crazy how far Hofstra has fallen. Tom Ryan had them in a good place before he left!
