Post Arizona Venting - What’s the Fix?

Yes, I’m posting this before the game is over.

I know the schedule has been tough the last few weeks, but the team has been on the struggle bus. What’s the fix?

Honestly, I thought the defensive effort was good, but something has to change with the offense.

Somebody not named Milan has to become a reliable shooting threat.

2. Getting a legitimate (consistent) third scoring option

Frankly we lack NBA talent and have for the entire TJ tenure so far. We've had a few borderline guys but compared to other top teams we are lacking in that area

You dont fix on March 2nd, you build in the fix over the last 3 months. Slow it way down and run only sets and they wont do it.

They’ve just prioritized defense vs offense for too long. I’m not saying to change our identity necessarily, but we have to put more emphasis on outside shooting. Either through recruiting or offensive philosophy (more stretch bigs).

This team is a Dustin Hogue & Curtis Jones away from being borderline unstoppable. Not enough rebounding and outside shooting (not named Milan).

It’s impossible to say. The easy thing is getting more players which cost more money that we don’t have. With that in mind knowing we can’t get more talent how the hell do you criticize what TJ has done record wise. Yea some game offense/defense game plan seems flawed but again overall record with players seems good. I think biggest opportunity is how to better peak late than early.

It has been strange we haven't let Bateman run loose, it was obvious he was a huge need for this team to make it to the next level but we picked defense only with Tamin and Toure. Love those two players but they aren't what the team needs with heavy minutes.

We need someone, anyone who can finish at the rim. I’ve never seen a team ranked like we have been this year look like junior high players when they go inside. We don’t have anyone in our lineup that looks like they want to attack the rim.

I don't know. Its clear that the non-con bought a lot of good will with our rankings, but its hard to say we're a top 10 team right now.

I'm still dumb enough to believe they can get it right for the tournament.

Fixed it. NBA talent hasn't been a TJ problem.

There is no fix at this point, the team is what it is. The good news is that a lot of the teams around us are having similar issues.

Pray that for as bad as our shooting is now that somehow we get a miracle and it flips around to being that good come the Tournament. If not, we are screwed.

This team has also struggled to respond to adversity as of late. They miss a few shots and all of sudden they can’t do anything right
