Yes! For someone who doesn’t have much of a vertical she sure does win it a lot.

Really solid win. I’m starting to see the path to getting to 4th in the conference and getting a double bye in the Big 12 tournament.

I agree with your assessment of a team win. Many of these wins of late I would say are a result of playing better as a team.

Keep in mind some of those you saw last night were the result of trying to stay out of foul trouble.

Agree. They are finding their post Brown groove. I’ve started wondering if it will take a couple of games to get used to having her on the floor when/if she returns?

I think you’re being a bit harsh. She plays the middle of a 2-3 zone. She did an alright job sealing off when the utes got under the basket and got some rebounds.

She is not a good defender, but to say it would be better off for them to play 4 on 5 is dumb.

How could you judge her defense? She doesn’t play any.

She is a terrible defender, but I'm sure part of that is Bill being so worried about foul trouble that he wants her to do very little on the defensive end. Keep in mind that it took his entire coaching staff years to convince Bill to not automatically, every time, sit for the remainder of the half every one of his players who got a second foul in the first half. He was so conservative about it he would quite literally never break his rule on that for about his first 25 years at Iowa State.

That being said, your negative take on her defense is much worse than any other takes on here being too optimistic about her defense.

Why yes…we were in a zone quite a bit. Even the announcers commented on it. Is Crooks a stellar defender. No. But she takes up space which does make a difference. Has improved her rebounding game during the season. It would be interesting to see how bad things got (i.e. getting blown out) if they adopted leaving her at the offensive end.

Announcers were wrong then. The opponent’s post roams free while Audi stands under the basket. Everyone else was guarding someone. This conversation is pointless. It was evident she was laboring just jogging up and down the court. She turned numerous very catchable passes into turnovers. But some of you just don’t want to see it. Opponents have figured out how to exploit her lack of effort.

Final question do you think she has any hope of being drafted next year? I ask because most all Americans do.

I'm glad that you are more of an expert than a hall of fame coach...

We just won our 5th game in a row, TCU just lost their 3rd conference game and we are playing much better basjetball. Anyone who says Audi is a good defender is wrong, she is not, however if she scores 26 pts a games and gets 8 rebounds who cares. She makes up for it on the offensive side of the ball. Our schedule is favorable to close out the Big 12 season well and if we got Addy back we could be a team most do not want to see as a 6 or 7 seed.

She will get drafted on name alone. Will she have a successful WNBA career, I do not think so but hope I am wrong.

I just have to wonder what's going going on with her. As a fan it's a head scratcher at best.
