Everything in this one points to what should be a convincing win for the Sisters. But, that's why the games are played. Here's a look at what UCF brings to the court on Saturday.

That assist number is eye popping. That’s 231st which somehow isn’t even the worst power team number. One would think they are very easy to defend.

I expect to win easily and slide into the midweek break. Hopefully be ready for the Utah swing.

The head coach at UCF (Sytia Messer) is a lady I have visited with at least 6 - 7 times. A few times our conversations lasted at least 30 minutes or more. She had a very good conference record at TN Tech in the OVC and that was one reason that Kim brought her to Waco as an assistant and of course she followed her to LSU. KM liked the aggressive way that TT played when they played against each other and she said I need assistants like that.

The cattle auction in Waco had a local family that prepared an excellent buffet in the old restaurant there and it was very close to the practice facilities. The coaches would often come over there to eat and I would get several chances there to talk with them and gain a lot of insight on what goes on in the WBB world. She was a very straight forward and interesting woman to talk to. I went to the American Conference championship held in Ft Worth (1 Week before Big 12 tourney) and she spotted me as I was down on the front row and she just came marching over to the banister, shook my hand, and talked while the girls were out warming up. I had hoped that she would meet with success out there at UCF. But I'm beginning to wonder. It seems that the same transfer portal that keeps taking her best players away from her is not rewarding her with replacements that are better or at least equals.

It would be interesting to know how the schools in the Big 12 are using their revenue share for WBB. ISU reportedly has $750k i wouldn’t be surprised if some schools do significantly less or maybe none for WBB.

And a chunk of that $750k is from an increase in the WBB season ticket price with the promise that it would go towards wbb rev share.

If you go by the "mostly uninformed" posters on various forums you'll hear every figure from $200,000 to $5,000,000. Some of the same posters (who always have inside information) will preach that the reason their program is faltering is because they don't have BMD's that the schools up and down the road have, therefore they will never be able to compete on a higher level. But a few days later they will say that when players A & B graduate , that will free up a lot of money for next year and they can use that money to bring in some big timers. So they speak out of two sides of their mouth but know virtually nothing.

It's the new and updated version of the old "Everyone else cheats and we can't compete because we are so moral and upright and follow all of the rules to the letter!"
