Bad Time To Fly Back Home to Tampa…

Tampa - Iowan born & raised
In a unique set of circumstances currently. Need to fly back “home” to Tampa and I’m absolutely surrounded by last-minute bowl game Hok travelers… Additionally, a bunch of flights including mine were also delayed, so it’s quite chaotic at the DSM airport. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers fanatics; as if this portal szn couldn’t be any worse! o_O

Let me know how it goes. I have a flight to St. Pete tomorrow morning. Luckily it should be clear of HOK fans since it lands at 10 am prior to the Noon kickoff.

I was on a flight to Tampa today from DSM. It wreaked of onions and failure from all the Hawk fans.

I feel your pain. I've been in the Orlando/Tampa area in the past during bowl season when those jacka##es were down there, and those annoying bastards darned near ruined my vacation.
 
Our son got caught in the Des Moines airport mess after Thanksgiving, getting back to the NE a mere three days late. At least he wasn’t surrounded by Hawks. Kept canceling numerous flights though. Avoiding O’Hare has become a priority.

In the process of changing planes here in Des Moines. Plane was half boarded then de-boarded. A few Hawk fans trying to get to the game. Plane was supposed to land in St. Petersburg at 10:00 and game kicks off at Noon.

Only a Hawk would cut it that close.
 
My mom is on a flight right now to Tampa and she said there are a lot of Hawkeye fans on board the plane. The plane is delayed for two hours and they are all pissed off. Hahah
 
I shaved a big chunk off my last business class trip by booking through travelbusinessclass.com, mostly because their advisors found fares I never saw on regular sites. The 24/7 support was handy too since I had to tweak my dates a few times. If you’re trying to get premium seats without paying full sticker price, it might be worth a look.
