Huh, wonder why that didn't show up in my emails from ISU. Well done final Christmas greeting from her.
I hope the new guy has the success that Dr. Wintersteen had, she lead ISU well. Her plates said toserve but she was a heck of a leader for ISU. Hope she keeps coming to BB games both men and women she attended WBB pack when she was dean of Ag sat in the corners. You could always say Hi to her.

During the reception line after her retirement reception in Ames, I mentioned to Robert about them going to wbb games and sitting in the corner. He said they really enjoy following the women, and they may be back.
Apparently not everyone appreciated the great job Dr. Wintersteen did for Iowa State University.
She did better than I anticipated when she was selected for the job, however I am still partial to Dr. Gregory Geoffrey being the better ISU president. She definitely was a breath of fresh air compared to the mess we had with Leath much like Geoffrey was taking over for Jischke who wasn't very popular with the ISU base - especially the student body in his later years.
