Is the officiating really this bad or do they dislike ISU?

One of several strange calls was the facemask on the goal line with everybody watching that was neither called a facemask or pass interference. Not uncommon for us to get robbed on the road but this was at home with a sold out stadium.
The TV announcers mentioned it once, but never dwelled on it. I didn't see it myself and John and Eric never said boo about it.

Be better than this. It’s bad enough the team is dropping games and not playing well, continuing to blame results on officiating is ridiculous. Good teams overcome ‘bad’ calls and let their will dictate the game. Good fans bases don’t ***** about officiating and blame them for losses and up the ante with conspiracy **** by alluding that officials ‘don’t like ISU’.

The non PI missed call on long throw to Brett Eskildsen in the end zone was terrible, just terrible. Defender had his arm all over him without turning around

The refs also missed stuff in our favor. The refs are the absolute last thing to blame this one on...
I didn’t see the OP blaming anyone for the loss, just asking a question about a blatant call that was missed. Amazing how many people jump to defend the refs about, “The Loss” when the OP never said anything about it costing us the game.

Sorry to be pedantic here, but the thread title...

And for the record I was screaming at my TV on that non call.

You could hear the people in the booth next to the announcers yelling “that’s a ******* face mask!” Over the television broadcast
I could only hear myself yelling exactly that in my living room.

How is there a thread about the refs? The last thing on my mind about this game was the refs. How about Rocco’s inconsistency? How about a defense a scheme ISU isn’t capable of succeeding in but Heacock won’t make changes? How about turnovers?

Good lord…

Overall the refs were the ok. They did not cause us to lose the game, but they did impact our abut to mount a comeback late. The two non-call pass interferences were obviously bad. It is there job to get those calls right and they didn’t. I also thought the holding calls on Black and Brahmer were BS. Those blocks happen on almost every play and are not called.

Just can’t find the energy to whine about a bad call here or there when we can’t do the little things. Left three touchdowns on the field with bad throws or drops. A veteran QB who keeps throwing the ball tot he wrong team. A junior high level bad play on special teams. A defense that looked totally unprepared.

It’s not the refs…

Every single fan base has a group that will blame officials and cry conspiracy.
