No, but I'm not sure what people were expecting. We just lost 2 NFL receiver and 2 All Big 12 defensive backs.

People also need to remember that we easily could have had 2 or 3 more losses last year, the UCF game comes to mind.

It would be nice at least once in my lifetime when they have an elite season to actually build on that the following year. The opposite seems to happen though, exact same thing with basketball anytime we get high expectations.

I'm not a fire Campbell guy, but I'm more than happy to let people have what they wish for and see if we can really hit rock bottom. I'm nostalgic for terrible Cyclone football teams where you could go to a game and have like 5 rows to yourself.

It would be nice, but that stuff barely happens. Frankly, what we've done for 10 years IS impressive. It's more likely that a team has a couple good seasons, falls to crap, coach leaves and then you repeat that cycle.

This season in football is a LOT like last season in basketball. I'll be curious if the same grace is given to the football coach as was given to the basketball coach.

The coaching definitely shares the blame with some really head scratching play calls/decisions.

But we caught the injury bug in Ireland so I'm OK with calling this the "blight season." Injuries are what have done us in. We're not good enough to overcome losing half of our starters and using our 4th string lineman kicker.

I'm frustrated. But we also seemingly have a new 17 year old offensive coordinator every couple years because they keep getting promoted.

I hate to rag on our best things. But Rocco was a touch off again today. And Sama is not who you want back there when you absolutely need 2 positive yards.

Our mangled defense has done enough to keep us undefeated.

I certainly wasn’t expecting late in the 4th quarter, down by 7, 3rd and 10 to run a QB draw. Then, when that goes nowhere, to then punt the game away. You can argue talent all day, but when push came to shove in this game coaching was at fault. Don’t ge the wrong, I am in no way, no how calling for Campbell to go, but it would be nice if someone would ask him point blank if he learned from such a dumb decision. Then have CMC to actually learn from his dumb decision.

It's a delicate balance. No Hanson changes the calls.

Losing 2 receivers and 2 CBs is why we go for it in 4th down on our own 20 or run the QB up the middle on 3 and 10

First parts: Those of us who suggested this pre season were told we were rotters and should have more faith in this staff.

No, but it explains why we weren't controlling these guys in the first place. Hansen and Konrardy being out is a major problem also, we aren't good enough to beat any Big 12 team except maybe OSU with a bunch of backups.

Our reciecer room is really underwhelming this year also.
