I love seeing these professiona athletes supporting ISU. Coming to college at a small town in Iowa, it would be easy to see their years at ISU simply as a stepping stone to bigger and better things in the NBA (or NFL for Purdy and the other pro football guys). It says a lot about the character of the athletes and the culture of Ames that they take pride in being Cyclones.

Pretty awesome we have guys that love Ames and love to come back. Unless you're flying private, you gotta fly into Des Moines and drive up....sometimes includes a layover pending what city you play in. Point being there's some effort involved.

And they stick around. It's not just showing up for a game and what not, they'll golf, go to Wallabys, go to a charity event, etc.
