A buddy of mine that moved to Nebraska said that you see a bunch of "10's" walking around. By that he means a skinny guy that is married to a large woman, which together, they form the number 10. I laughed about that for quite awhile!

What's worked for me in the past is to spray it heavy with thick Trimec (double what it says on the bottle), wait a week, mow it off to the ground, and spray it with Trimec again.
