    Disclosure Day

I thought the writing was the weakest part of this movie, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself in the theater, which is the point, right? There were some scenes and plot points that were a little dumb, the religion subplot being completely unnecessary, IMO. The last 30 minutes were classic Spielberg...

    ***Official 2026 World Cup Thread***

Croatia is a good team. They've made deep runs the past two World Cups; third in 2022 and losing to France in the final in 2018.

Yes. I've never understood this. It's a foul against a player, not the team?

FOX to buy Roku for $22 Biliion

To be honest, I wish non-smart TVs were more readily available. I mean...ALL the same technology as the high end Smart TVs without the extra stuff that I don't use because the Apple TV experience is so superior. Just let me buy a TV that can get software updates. Nothing else is necessary.

FOX to buy Roku for $22 Biliion

I have had Apple TV since 2012, and I would never consider another streaming box. They haven't done a full update in 5 years or so, so one would assume an update will be coming soon.

FOX to buy Roku for $22 Biliion

Is this just for the TV platform? Roku also has home security products.

    Grading TJs Recruiting Strategy

So....1, 2, and 3 overall. How much does a blue blood coach have to actually DO to recruit high-caliber talent?

I see what you meant about the "system of storms". But man, I do not remember Ames getting hit by a big ice storm. Anway...it's nice to see that they've planted more American Lindens by Agronomy to replace the big ones that have died.

    What's streaming that's good TV/movies

I love how the writers lean into the trope (the Final Girl being chased by the monster, boogey man, serial killer, etc.) and then completely subvert it (Patricia does all of the RIGHT things instead of what the typical Final Girl does in these stories).

It's a lot more complicated than that, actually. The "Perfect Storm" was a combination of two systems just off the coast. The presence of the "Perfect Storm" is actually responsible for causing the Halloween Blizzard--a separate low pressure system that formed near Houston--to move almost due...

Yes...those trees were great! If memory serves, they were American Linden/Basswood, but it's an old memory.

Do you remember, there used to be a row of sycamores on the north side of Helser along Union drive. I remember walking by those trees every day on the way to and from old Clyde Williams field for marching band rehearsal. As a native Minnesotan unfamiliar with sycamores, I initially hated that...

Oh yes. I do remember that Larch! I used to have a picture of the MacKay Elm in full fall color, but I can no longer find it. I loved that tree and am sad it is gone.

That's funny, I went to Google Maps yesterday to do that very thing. Google Maps has street view for nearly all of the sidewalks on campus, too, but I think they're from 2015. I don't remember the tamaracks. In spring, the blooming redbuds, especially around Lake Laverne and in the open space...
