    Thanks for all the comments. Even if Mediacom reduces our rate back down to our normal $60-70, I think we will give Google a shot.

    Yep we have done that many times as well. But just debating if we should make the switch now. No contract with Google, so I guess not much commitment. Our 'newer' neighborhood is behind an older neighborhood, so I think our Mediacom cables connect with the older overhead lines somewhere...

    Sorry if this is discussed in another thread. Our DSM neighborhood now has Google Fiber. Anyone else have experience with them? We currently have Mediacom internet and overall is good/reliable with 1 modem/router. Have been paying $70/mo but last month they randomly increased it and again...
