    We kept Shaw instead of Smith. ( Tucker trade) Shaw is more productive and plays multiple positions well. We traded Smith not Shaw. We let Tucker go and signed Bergman. Really not that difficult to connect those dots Clark.

    Cam Smith .654 OPS Matt Shaw .755 OPS We’ll see how these two as well as the two big contract guys associated look at the end of the season. But for now I’m glad we have Shaw and Bergman.

    Missing Cease is definitely a plus. Come August we’ll play them in the midst of a homestand. Toronto has us as a one day lay over between Houston and Philadelphia.

    If he’s used right as we all know he’s a fantastic weapon. Ask him to catch slants you’re wasting your time. He’s the king of the 50/50 ball and that will translate.

    I’m not saying it will happen but it’s the only way it could happen. As for losing Free Agents for benching a guy hitting .175. What exactly are you smoking? You lose potential FA for playing a guy hitting.175.

    Apparently Cabrera departures was a hand cramp. Hope that is accurate but I’d guess we add an inning eater stater or two. Currently Wicks is the next man in and we’ve seen what a disaster that is.
