    ***2025 MLB Season Thread***

Mason Miler is an absolute stud closer. Still a steep price.

*** Official 2025 Chicago Cubs Thread***

Royals fan here. I don’t know if it makes that much sense for a contender to trade for Bubic this year as a move to win it all this year. He is in his first full year back from Tommy John’s. I think he’ll have innings limitations down the the stretch and into the postseason. On the positive...

    What's everyone reading?

Awesome. Trailer looks great. I really enjoyed the book and I think Gosling is perfect for the part.

    KC vs St. Louis

Playoff baseball is as intense as NFL playoffs. It’s a wild ass ride since you get games almost every night. The party isn’t just once a week. So much fun.

    KC vs St. Louis

Along with Tampa Bay I think the Guardians and Brewers have great small market models. Tampa Bay really stands out because they have relatively little fan support and are even more disadvantaged than most small market teams, playing in the AL East.

    KC vs St. Louis

Most cities and fans are passionate about multiple sports. Nothing quite matches the intensity of a football Sunday but major league sports cities mostly love their MLB, NBA, NHL, and MLS teams. Hell in KC there is huge support for their women’s soccer team who regularly sells out its stadium -...

    KC vs St. Louis

Exactly. That’s why he sucked as an owner. His primary goal was to make money. Winning was way down the list. On top of that. For much of his tenure he didn’t even understand how to function effectively as a small market team and be successful with lower budgets.

    KC vs St. Louis

Why? Well he bought the Royals for like 85 million and sold them for around a Billion. Quite a good investment. And that’s not counting the money he made along the way.

    KC vs St. Louis

The Rockies franchise started in the 90s if I remember right. I think the decades of absolutely terrible baseball and cheap ownership from the 90s to the 14 and 15 teams hurt the fanbase more than anything. But this town still becomes fanatical whenever the Royals are in contention, as we saw...

    KC vs St. Louis

It’s not an either/or. It’s both a Chiefs and a Royals town. Who would it have to be one or the other? Obviously NFL is king in America, everywhere, and we love our Chiefs. The two seasons are entirely different in nature with 17 games, one a week vs 162 games and one every day. I’m glad we...

    KC vs St. Louis

They really aren’t though. It’s the Royals who want a new stadium. Chiefs would be quite happy to receive some incentives to renovate or build new right where they are.

    KC vs St. Louis

KC becomes a major Royals town when they are competitive. Everyone will tell you the 2015 World Series was better than any Super Bowl win.

    KC vs St. Louis

In my experience the only real JoCo snob areas are Leawood and Mission Hills. Maybe PV is some parts. The bigger suburbs, not snobby.

Another plus for KC in my book.

    KC vs St. Louis

Super Bowl championships… Oh wait, St Louis lost their team while the Chiefs have been the best NFL team of the decade.
