But I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the school and it’s the only school I’ve ever been to where I’ve witnessed regularly kids getting pushed or yelled or face to face arguments in the halls.     There also dotted lines inside the bold line which is throwing me off. I do know Nevada goes clear to the trailer park just off Dayton by Peterson pits. I may have been off on Ballard some but there still isn’t a lot of room for development within Ames district...

    Nevada district goes to Dayton. Gilbert is Bloomington. Ballard goes to Ken Maril road. So north, south and east are pretty much full. Not sure of the United/boone line.

    Biggest financial problem for Gilbert is corporate taxes. There are very few dollars from businesses as there are very few in that district.

    Definitely agree. Ames middle school is one of the toughest schools I’ve been too. My kids will not go to Ames. We live in Nevada, but hopefully move before they start school, and Ames isn’t an option.

    The way the boundaries are set, there no where to develop to make Ames bigger. Nevada gets the eastern edge. Gilbert get the north. Ballard gets the south. And United gets the west.

    I’d argue that Ames is growing just fine. Gilbert (Ames north) is growing quite rapidly. The Ames school boundary is similar to urban dam as any growth is going to be either, Gilbert, Ballard or Nevada.
