Aer Lingus Classic items. Tickets, planning, etc.

I would also like to know how this is going. The locals we chatted to loved the '24 game, and were looking forward to all the business they assumed both teams would be bringing over this season.
Just got in this morning. Tons of Clones on our flight and a smattering of KSU fans. We wandered around the city center and exchanged some “Go Cyclones!” with a few fellow fans we passed. At the pub, O’Donoghue’s (on Suffolk, recommended!), we stopped at for lunch, the bartender knew all about the game and past iterations. A patron had lots of questions about the game, truly wanting to understand what it was: American FB, universities, when, where, etc.. The bartender mentioned that we were early and that most start showing up Wednesday. Seemed very appreciative of our business and more to come.

Stranded in Chicago. Anyone else? Our flight was scheduled to leave at 10:25 PM, first delayed to 11:33, and then cancelled. Spending the night in a hotel. Can’t get a replacement flight until Thursday! Bummer! Missing half of our days in Dublin!

If there’s anything worse than driving a car over here I don’t know what it is.
I drove from Dublin to Dingle yesterday. It’s necessary to get a car if you want to see more than Dublin, but I have hated every second of driving here.

Bummer. That is a horrible feeling.

Don't give up hope for leaving earlier, especially if you purchased your flight directly with a major airline. Make sure that you are on a "stand by" list for the next flight. The "replacement flight" they gave you may have been the earliest that they could confirm, but that doesn't mean there won't be other available seats, albeit at the last minute.

Also, make them look at options through other cities. For instance, if you can get to Newark or someplace on the east coast, you may have more options for getting a confirmed seat or "stand by."

If you bought your flight through a discount site, such as Orbitz or Expedia, you may have fewer options as the airlines will have less direct responsibility for your flight.

Yea but avoid Newark until at least October of next year. Probably longer. Just chaos there right now with the ATC issues.

I'm doing Chicago to Dulles to Dublin on Thursday. The direct out of Chicago was 3x the price so I imagine that flight will be full of ISU and KState fans.

Driving through Dublin City Centre for me was the equivalent of watching Prohm teaching ball screen defense.
Fair. Belfast was pretty s*** too. Driving from Portrush to Galway and then driving around the Cannemarra National Park on the other hand is amazing.
