Update

I think we should put Thames as our top priority right now. No matter how good your post players are, until you have great guards you aren't going to win anything. Even if our starting post players next year are Dendy and Hamilton, I think we could be better if the guards play much better. Getting Thames would be a huge first step.

Anyone want to enlighten me on Thames? Is he a juco or be a frosh? Will he compete with DG/Buck/Colvin for minutes because I would guess that those 3 will take the majority of the minutes this upcoming year at point.

We are waiting on his release from Wash St. Will be a freshman.

He's a freshman that originally committed to some school out west (Washington maybe) whose coach is now leaving, so he is reopening his recruiting. We were in on him before he commited to that other school and they left things good with the coaches.

How is a 15 year old getting all of this info???:biggrin:

I am guessing the Nygma Box.

Yes, I did just reference Batman Forever.

I believe Washington State...not sure what kind of offers he has now

So then what are the odds of us landing him and for that matter, how would he fit into the picture with what we have now? With 3 other legitimate pg's in DG/Colvin/Buckley and a couple decent sg's in Lucca/Boozer/Christopherson (sp?)/ and even possibly Gilstrap.

Cyismydog, you forgot to add Scott Christopherson to your lineup at SG. I really think he will be starting, and Gilstrap will be starting at the 3. Good info!

If CB does leave ISU could be going small next year with Gilstrap being one of the post players. This would not be that bad with most other teams not having more then one main post presense. For ISU our main post would be Big Ham, Dendy, or Pomlee.

Im trying to figure out why everyone thinks this Scott Christopherson is going to be good. I guess sitting on the bench averaging a point a game at Marquette would probably lead to something better here at Iowa State but..how do we know hes good?

He's good...I'm curious myself to see how he fits into the rotation.
