I think we are going to go to the UC game. What sections are the Iowa State fans in who purchase through ISU? Like sitting with friendly fans. How about the parking situation as it is an urban campus? Any other recommendations?

I went to nippert for the game in '23 and had a great time. I got tickets off of stub hub and was in a UC season ticket section. Everyone was extremely nice and we ended up having a few beers with them after the game.

ISU sections were 101-102 and 201-203 I believe but we ended up taking over half the stadium that day so I could be wrong.

Parking was a little crazy and you will have to walk (.75-1.25 miles) up a hill to go from any free street parking to the stadium.

The urban tailgate was good for what it was. A few random green spaces between buildings where people set up

In 2023, Arlin’s Bar was the Saturday morning and postgame hangout about 15-minutes from the stadium. Parking was free and you could leave your car there during the game. I’m sure the bar will be more prepared this year and won’t run out of Bloody Mary mix and have more cooks so they don’t shut down the kitchen .

Bought tickets in Section 104 for this game. Anyone have an idea of what the tailgate scene and parking situation is like? Wife grew up long ago in Cincinnati and is raving about being able to get Skyline.

There are several bars close to the stadium. Many parking garages near the Stadium as well- can try and get one ahead of time. It’s rather urban but a decent tailgate scene.

Contemplating going to this game too. I live in Toledo, Oh….been eyeing tickets but haven’t gotten one, yet.

UC is a fun road trip.
Campus is urban area. Lots of street parking, especially on the east side of campus. No really designated tailgate space, but lots of activity/bars with patios on Short Vine - as AlaCyclone mentioned Mios is on Short Vine. The stadium serves alcohol, and many great local craft breweries are represented inside - Rhinegeist, MadTree, 50 West.
UC coach Satterfield is on the "hot seat" so many tickets could be available.
(Full Disclosure: I'm an ISU alum, but all three of my kids attended UC and they said they won't pay anything near face value to see UC lose.)

Prepare to be dissapointed.

I always want to ask people who love it if they've ordered spaghetti bolognese at a good Italian restaurant, I mean they'd probably have their mind blown. You can make pretty incredible authentic spaghetti bolognese at home and feed 8 people for like 20 bucks, it's not a master chef dish.

Anyone have an "in" for tickets? Hard to stomach what they are asking on Ticketmaster. Thank in advance

There’s a Cincy alumni group that’s hosting some events. Somehow I got on their email list. There’s a Friday night social (I won’t be there so I don’t remember the details), and Saturday at Arlin’s pub. Time TBD depending on kickoff time. You can find the alum group on facebook.
