Doubtful he’s out the whole year. Seen several Achilles injuries come back in 6 months. I was one.

Only 2 Achilles tears I can think of where the player came back relatively the same. KD and Dominique Wilkins. Otherwise, unfortunately, none have really come close to their form, unless I’m missing someone.

Since he arrived and clearly was a next level NBA player, I've been worried his body type is just going to be injury prone.

I'm not sure he really can bulk up and even if he did, it might change some of the things that make him such a unicorn on offense. It would surely help his D in the paint if he could bulk up but the way he glides and hangs in the air might be different as a heavier player.

I saw an analysis somewhere that he's one of the only players they've ever broken down where his passing efficiency increases if he jumps with the ball and I know he intentionally does it and practices it, it could be an evolution of the game for those who have the vision and length to do it. Almost every other player they broke down sees their passing efficiency drop and turnovers go up when they jump with the ball.

I think he was successful since he is opposite of Tyrese. Catches teams off guard.

This. He’s better than most teams’ second squad. But he’s not a starting pg for a reason. He can be a spark plug off the bench playing in 5 minute stretches and excels at that. It’s different if you need to put in 30 minutes.

Credit OKC for having #1 overall seed for homecourt, it's an insane 82 game season and it SHOULD mean something, but I'm not sure they get this win tonight on the road. Just for the people who aren't NBA fans because of the overly long regular season grind.
Im glad they rebranded and aren't calling themselves the Sonics. Seattle needs an expansion team.

I thought D Wilk was basically a shell after his injury but maybe he was just on the downhill slide as it was. Can't remember.

I don’t recall many that have done it so young though. Seems it’s often at the backend of a players career and it just accelerates the end.

He's an ultimate bull pen guy for change of pace yet still pressing things. The media got a little carried away with it even claiming he would be MVP if they won.

Same with Nembhard actually, he's a great combo guard and great on D but you can't just replace the best passing point guard in basketball who hit 4 game winners in one playoff season.

They said when Kevin Durant was a rookie he could only bench 135.lol. Hopefully Hali can add strength without necessarily bulking. His biggest asset is his length.

He improved on defense a TON this year without really adding bulk. Still cannot defend under the basket, just not strong enough, but he's easily become an above average defender on the perimeter and won them some games with it in the playoffs. The "stocks" stats of combined steals and blocks saw him as one of the top players in NBA playoffs (45).

To me the strength is about avoiding injuries and I can't pretend to know enough if the injuries he's battled could be mitigated with strength or not.
