General (non-ISU) Wrestling Twitter/News Thread

How are they going to clean that up ? Someone on FB with some inside knowledge- sounds believable to me.
Acting like he wasn't part of Penn st he just trained at the club. And that what happens between 2 consenting adults shouldn't matter. They can spin anything

Who the hell cares! How is this not legal in this day and age?
Who cares? I bet his wife does. I bet his kids will some day. I bet his parents and in laws do. I bet USA wrestling does. I bet Rudis does. I bet those kids and the parents that were just at the faith based wrestling clinic hours before do. He will get the help he needs to move forward with life but he definitely hurt some people

Prostitution should be legal, I agree.

But that said, it is a problem largely because it is illegal. Since prostitution is on the black market, that leads to all kinds of terrible behavior like human trafficking, slavery, and forced prostitution.

Move it above board, tax, regulate, and monitor. But as is, participating in this activity only perpetuates the problems.

It's a bad look and I get why it's a story, but in general I hate the reaction to situations by the wrestling community and society as a whole. The pitchforks are out in greater force simply because of his Penn State affiliation and seems like it's certainly been a recent shift that any reason to drag down that program is popular.

Certainly not something you want to see out of any role model. It shouldn't completely ruin the good things he's done in his life/career either. People are not flawless and it's unfortunate for him that his bad decisions manifested themselves in an area that definitely has a dark side to it.

Also to paint it as a reflection of anyone else involved in Penn State wrestling or NLWC is just an excuse to try and bring down the top dogs in the sport because people are sick of them winning.

The NLWC head coach has now been tied to multiple people with regards to trafficking/prostitution. IMO, there should be some questions fired in his direction.

You think Rudis really cares if this man paid for sex? There are felons out there with advertisement deals with way worse offenses.

If it is about child sex trafficking then it is a big deal.
Looks to be just an overreaction to someone paying for sex at this point.
He will have to deal with his family for sure, that has nothing to do with his wrestling ability or if he is fit to represent America.

Human trafficking is also a big issue hence why this is bad.

Yes, the people saying “two consenting adults” are clueless. Many women are trafficked and forced into prostitution. Even if they’re 18+. If you’re buying sex online, how would you possibly know if the woman is acting on her own, or being forced into this behavior?

A lot of them are drugged and forced into this lifestyle by threat of harm and death.
