I know Sampson is a HOF coach but they actually ran no offense in the second half. Lots of possessions where they just dribbled 30 feet from the basket and then try to make a one on one move at the end of the shot clock while the defense collapsed on them. Really bad last 5 minutes.
It is a testament to how well coached this team was to get this far. No true point guard on the team. Just F sucks royally Florida won.

Not exactly sure.
Or dribble if you have not dribbled previously in that current possession

Always looks weird when you see it live, but if you didn’t pick up your dribble, you can throw it down and not travel
Not when both feet leave the ground in HA and college. In pros I think you can.

So… if you’re dribbling down the floor and both feet are off the floor at the same time, it’s an automatic travel?
When you are dribbling down the floor you are dribbling once for every step. He gathered and jumped for a shot. After that it is pass it ir shoot it. You come down with it in any way you travel.

The game was played at Houston’s pace, same as the Duke-Houston. Florida just has better defenders, long and active.

Florida played really good defense, the officials were really bad for Houston, and Houston's offense was bad. Summary of the 2nd half

Shame there was not a last second shot attempt. Terrible way to end it for Houston.

They actually kind of dwarfed Houston at several positions.

I really hadn't noticed that with Florida.

No, but you are in the act of dribbling. If you are in full position of the ball not dribbling, then when both feet leave the ground you have to get rid of the ball.
Just trying to understand. If you are standing with the ball and jump while putting it to the floor to dribble, it’s a travel?

Refs got their script. SEC gets their champ. Gross! 19-11 foul differential. Fla had 1 in first half, 5 in first 3 minutes of second half and then 5 for the remaining 17 minutes. And you can’t tell me they weren’t just a physical as Houston was!
So fouls were 16-5 to finish the game with only one forced foul? Wow.

Dang it Houston, give the kid credit though he knew he couldn't grab the ball.
Tough loss, hard fought game by the Coogs.

Houston's bigs getting in foul trouble hurt them the most. With 1 out, their back line defense lacked the shot blocker & rebounder when Florida players got past their defenders. UF was all pissy on foul calls, yet after the 2nd technical Houston had more fouls - but they earned them. They received 3 in 9 seconds & the first 2 were easily fouls, & stupid ones at that. Just hate an SEC team won. Damn
