The reason I’ve been so gung ho about AJ is for this exact reason. The best available guys are going to go to the top programs.
While AJ is undeniably the best wrestler in the portal, he has his baggage. That gives us a chance.
Well then. The 1st-3rd team trophies are pretty much decided for the next few years
Really good wrestlers going to be sitting at Ok State.. Cael Hughes, JJ McComas, Tagen Jamison, Teague Travis, Carter Young, Jersey robb, and Alex Facundo.

I have a very very hard time seeing this happen after the season Oklahoma state just had. I have no insight info on this but it seems like that ship has sailed.
We aren't on that same playing field. Ohio state can't even keep kids around. It would help greatly to have guys in our RTC for them to learn from. David is a huge piece, and Coleman is great, but we need 1 or 2 more big additions to keep up with everyone else.
When David Carr first signed I really thought we would gain traction with other blue chip kids around his weight class. We didn’t really see that halo effect. And now that he’s in the RTC, you would think he would be an incredibly desirable workout partner around his weight class. Yet 157, 165 and 174 remain major works in progress with developmental kids. Facunado could have stepped into the varsity spot and had DC to roll with…. We need to catch a break.
If Hughes can make 133, he is starting next year. JJ McComas will never see the mat at OSU, Why will Jamison not start at 141 next year? Teague Travis is a good solid dude, but his days are over starting IMO. Carter Young has been a flop since day one, Now, Jersey Robb is a bad dude, and I agree it will be a shame if he does not start. He was a 2 sport athlete and never concentrated on wrestling. I should call his dad and tell him Ames is the place to be
I think Hughes is too big for 133, my opinion. I think Jamison is too big for 149 and either him or Casey will be sitting next year at 149. Carter young could help a lot of programs and they’d love to have him, he’s a good wrestler. Same goes for Teague Travis. Yes we do, but another big name American would help. David is a massive player but having another big name 57 and 65 guy would be great.

Hughes is big, but he is not bigger than Evan. He just doesn't live a clean life like Evan. Jamison I don't see going up, but maybe he will?? I agree on your points of Carter and Teague, but they were expecting a lot out of Carter and just the opposite of Travis. Travis has been a pleasant surprise.
