New Johnny’s starting next year.

I was very impressed. Add to the fact it’s not even half done I can only imagine how nice it will be.

I think the Scheman reno is about 90% complete, about the only significant thing remaining for Johnny's is the permanent furnishings. Any other amenities such as the enclosed walkway connection to Hilton will be part of the new hotel and CyTown stuff. Not sure what else you are including in the "half-done" assessment.

I found the social / gathering areas to be very nice & spacious, with multiple bar options that limited any wait time for service. However, they do have some traffic flow and theming issues that could improve the food distribution and sit-down areas. Hopefully the finished product addresses these somewhat minor aspects to an otherwise significantly upgraded experience.

Invitation only events before and after and I'd assume during games. The events will be used to widen the ISU donor base and bring in more revenue

I think the new venues will offer many a gamewatch opportunity - outside in the new CyLo amphitheater when the weather is good, inside the new Scheman Johnny's the other 90% of the year...

Johnny's has been a detraction from game day atmosphere for many years. People getting a stack of cookies to go share with everyone in their row and a free bag of popcorn. Fans leaving their seat early to get stale popcorn is probably worse than people leaving a 3 point game early to beat traffic. Glad this is getting fixed!!! Great job out of whoever pulled the trigger on this.

Nothing at all. I feel like the space at Scheman may by too big and too far away for some of our wbb fans.

What does this mean for Stage Door?

This sucks, tbh. All of us non-director level donors keep getting charged more for less. Stage door was a great place for us to hang out before and after games, and now we get pushed out with no replacement even though our donation went up (again).
