I think it’s ok. They could be like at an Iowa/Fran level. Tangs too insane to ever have consistent success but they could win enough to not have him fired and we still have the trainwreck to watch.
Didn’t they beat us by 20 a week ago?

No reason that KSU cannot go 6-2 down the stretch and get to 12-8 in the conference.
You gotta wonder if they’ll run out of steam and revert back. But, they are clearly playing well right now. If they can keep it up, they are going to sneak in and I’d hate to be a higher seed playing against them in the dance.

I'd say they are conceptually similar to us: high ceiling but the floor is much lower than you'd expect from looking at the roster.

They remind me of the way Arizona is also playing now, they got going after hitting that half court shot against us and KSU is now rolling also. No reason that both are not going to finish strong the rest of the season.

Still not in as of yet, they need to beat Arizona or BYU on the road this week and they'll be getting close.

I think if they split the next 2 and finish at least 4-2 in their last 6 they'll be in. That will put them with at least 4 Q1 wins.

If they do go on to finish strong but not get in their fans have to be at least a little ticked don't they?

They clearly have talent and things take time to gel but it shouldn't be a total mess with a bunch of bad losses.

Espn updated their "bubble watch " last night and Kansas State is nowhere near the bubble. They actually have them with less of a chance than TCU, Arizona St, and Utah.

I'd take it with a grain of salt though. They think North Carolina is approaching lock status after their monumental home win over Pitt and they think SEC teams who are 4 or 5 games under .500 right now are solid bubble teams.

The next couple of week will decide if they get in or not, beat Arizona at home, then head out for road games at BYU and Utah, need to split those and beat Arizona and they will be fine. Road games in Florida and Cincinnati then home against Colorado and ISU. KSU could end up with wins against Kansas, Arizona, WV and if they beat us twice, has to get you into the field unless you are a one and done in the conference tournament.
