My brother-in-law is supposed to start taking this drug called mounjaro for his kidney issues, and his insurance won't cover it. Cost is 1k monthly out-of-pocket, while it's about $200 in Mexico Anyone ever get prescriptions outside of the US?

He's already there. He's on donor list but doesn't qualify unless he loses weight. Years of not taking care of himself caught up.One of Mounjaro's side effects is renal failure.
Well I’ll be that guy. My parents live on the border and they go to Mexico for everything. Dentist, doctor, the whole nine.
You can get z packs there just over the counter and I’ve got a ton of it in a drawer in the house. If I get real sick I pop them and haven’t had any issues yet.
About 10 years ago, my cousin lived in San Diego. She was a lifelong diabetic and used to cross the border regularly to purchase her insulin, because it was so much less expensive. She would buy as much as she could, and did it several times over the course of a few years, until one time when she was coming out of the pharmacy and Mexican authorities arrested her and threw her in jail. Apparently they'd had their eye on her, and hit her with charges that effectively amounted to "smuggling" and"intent to deliver". She spent almost 4 months in custody, before my uncle was able to get her out. Not a good situation. Not saying this is something that happens often, but in her case, it was pretty awful.
Well, unfortunately she passed away a couple years ago. Her husband, at the time of the incident, had a fairly high position in the military industrial complex, and had a security clearance. My uncle always suspected that that had something to do with her being targeted, but who knows.Damn they should seek out a
Documentary filmmaker. That’s Netflix worthy.
Did she "serve a sentence" or was there just a "$ transfer after the 4 months?"Well, unfortunately she passed away a couple years ago. I'm not sure how it all went down officially, but I know that there was a five figure dollar amount that was exchanged for her release.Did she "serve a sentence" or was there just a "$ transfer after the 4 months?"

Im sure that at the very least his position had something to do with regardless if he or the gov. did any talking or not.Well, unfortunately she passed away a couple years ago. This was actually my worst fear based on the amount and what I brought back to the US from most recent trip to Cozumel.About 10 years ago, my cousin lived in San Diego.
