Ames Iowa
Great comeback for ISU tonight, EIU played as well as they could, for most of the game, and still lost by 9 on their home floor. EIU has the same problems that they always do, soft on the boards, and when their shots are not falling, like the last 5 minutes they struggle to score. EIU got 87% from the foul line, they just could not get there enough to make it count in the end.

Great win for ISU, go on the road, got punched in the mouth, and instead of rolling over like past ISU teams have in the morgue they fought back and got the win.

No Francon tonight. He must just not care anymore.
He's in purgatory.

Nobody will hire him away, and the Iowa administration doesn't care enough to fire his ass, they just won't provide him resources to do better. Playing out the string and collecting the checks. Why retire when they owe you money? 90% of life is about just showing up!

I didn't realize how little support Iowa bball gets nowadays. Listening to their fans they are just crapping on their arena (many calling it worst or one of the worst in Big 10), their coach, lack of any NIL bball support, etc.

One friend said he's gonna just be an ISU bball only fan the rest of the CBB season, lol.

Big props to all the ISU bball & NIL supporters, folks who pack Hilton, etc. That stuff definitely has an effect on the program. TJ could absolutely have a monster of a program in Ames for a loooonnnggg time thanks to the help of Cyclone Fanatics.

My wife of 13 years grew up in a hawkeye family. She still considers herself more of a hawk fan but she always cheers for ISU as well. Today is the first time she's ever worn an ISU shirt on a Cyhawk gameday. She was actively cheering for ISU during the game and complaining about the officiating when appropriate. I was almost in tears I was so proud.

And they started 11 for 11 from the line. The two missed by Freeman were huge during that span
