Man, if you read this thread it would be hard to know ISU had it's best season in it's entire history this year.
It really was all about the homerun type plays. In 2023 he hit 5 runs of 55+ and in 2024 he had 1. Take those plays away and he was at 3.7YPC in 2023 and 4.1YPC in 2024.
I think Abu second half of the year was improving quite a bit and hitting the right read, getting the tough yards, etc. and he always has that homerun potential. It really sucks that the two fumbles came at the absolute worst possible time.
Cyclone4L says tall receivers are overrated. Better pass on this guy.

Losing 2 of the top 10 WRs in the nation, a draft pick corner, 2 OL, probably Dom Orange, and all the other seniors, especially on defense.
That's a lot to replace. I think if you expect next year's team to win 10 games (with a schedule that is miles more difficult than this years) you are needlessly setting yourself up for disappointment.
Yes but ISU is not the only team that has to replace players every year.
If you cant look at our schedule next year and see 9-10 wins, im not sure what you are looking at.
TCU, OSU, AZ, SD, and AkSU will all be wins. @Cincy, UI, KSU, KU, SHOULD be wins
BYU and @CU are the games that concern me the most. Depending on the time of year, ASU may not even want to be in Ames if its late november.
Same as this year, 9-10 wins are definitely possible, so are 7-8

There are 3 QBs in the portal leaving Iowa. Not sure if they are all scholarship, but two were 4 stars and the other 3 star, so I assume yes, on schollie. Seems like that would hurt a bit.
I'm a glass half full person so I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade however, judging by this year. I don't think we can really mark any for sure wins or losses.
This year i thought @utah was a for sure loss. I also thought we were lucky to miss Oklahoma State. Also, I think @TCU will be tougher than you think. They did have some bad losses this year but still went 8-4.

When do players accept?
Can they "counter" offer like negotiations? (Like State School offered me X, can you offer me Y?)
Can we change NIL to players in program who, didn't live up to expectations?
Do players reach out to specific programs, or is it just, I am available, who wants me?
