***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

Detroit hangover is real (last 9 teams to play Detroit have lost their next game), team looked tired and slow tonight (especially on the line). I’m not overly worried and still think we’re a wild card team, which would be over achieving with what expectations were going into the year. People forget the Rams are good when healthy- they took Detroit to OT week 1.

Get healthy during the mini-bye, hope Darrisaw isn’t out for the year, and get on a run here during the soft part of the schedule
Yep. We'll see if this team is legit, or the same vikings of old very soon

You all should have thrown bottles on the field and hoped the refs looked at the video board during the break to call the facemask

Stick with the plan. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year, a bridge gap until McCarthy is ready. Spend your 3 draft picks on defense. Start your 2-3 years making the team better for the long haul.

These refs tonight were atrocious. The missed call in the end zone on Darnold was inexcusable. Took away any chance for the Vikings to win the game.
Rams got 5, that's right FIVE first downs off penalties. When was the last time you saw that happen?
Anyway, the Vikings still need to play better.

Vikings need to put out a press release that Sam Darnold is getting his neck checked for whiplash....

First and foremost, McVey had us fooled most of the night. Horrendous pass coverage defense and no pressure. However, that facemask was absolutely brutal. We'd have had the ball at the 20, new set of down and the best WR in football going....

Yep - I like your plan. Vikes playing themselves into lower picks, but so be it.

While the defense does not have a lot of talent, they did a nice job picking up some good deals on solid guys. Hopefully that kind of personnel work can carry over into the draft this year. Hopefully Turner gets on the field more and starts contributing.

Darnold isn't the Vikings problem on offense. He's way more part of the solution than the problem. He had a TD pass to Naylor and Naylor completely whiffed the catch.

He extends plays more than he has any business doing.

He's typically taking care of the ball.

His only receiver worth a **** is Jefferson.

All things considered, it's REALLY hard to win on a cross country flight on a short week.
Yeah, there's almost no chance McCarthy would be better than Darnold right now.

The pass defense has been torched two games in a row now. Very little pass rush and receivers getting wide open consistently 10-20 yards down field.

I'm not too worried about the facemask changing the game to a win. Second game in a row where the Vikings struggle to finish drives while their opponent doesn't. Too many field goals settled for due to mistakes while the opponent keeps finding the end zone. That being said, if I had to guess, I still think this team squeaks into the playoffs at this point. They've lost two in a row relatively close against good teams, it's not like they got blown out by the Panthers or something.

But still, ultimately this is still a house money season anyway, the outcome doesn't really matter. They've got a lot of defensive rebuilding to do in coming years. Defense started out strong but feels pretty exposed right now (which is also what happened last season). Just don't have the dudes.

You must've bet the over too. This season is going way above my expectations for this team.

This is where I am at, I have not had a hard time with these losses because I'm still floating on the high of exceeding my expectations already. I thought we might get 5 wins the whole season. I'm more worried that the FO will do something dumb and go all in because of this start. I haven't looked into those matthew stafford rumors, but I hope they stay just rumors. I cannot imagine what we would have to give up to get him. I still think the team needs more work before they are a Superbowl contender.

Darrisaw is a massive loss. Save the draft picks, don't become buyers. Whatever happens the rest of the year happens, then load up for JJ and 2025
I think we only have 3 draft picks next year. Not good. Gonna need to suck for a few more years to get more picks.

Pretty sure we’ll get a comp 3rd for Kirk signing with the falcons (at least that’s what I’ve seen on Twitter). Lots of cap space for free agents too

JJ McCarthy is a bum. They'll have Darnold for the next 3 years then draft the next guy. Meanwhile Jefferson will request a trade by this time next year. Bookmark this post.

Sadly, you could be right.
