***2024 CFB Week 8 (Oct. 15-19) Games Thread***

Replay officials have got to do better. Alabama returned a punt and the return man stepped out of bounds. Plenty of time to buzz down, but they basically waited until Alabama snapped the ball on first down. It seems like I see this every game.

Never knew you were a Miami fan. Makes more sense now. I would still say that Miami taking a loss would be good because then if they get that second loss it really helps us. But I get what you’re saying.

I loved watching the Miami dynasty as a kid. I wanted to go there and walkon but because it is a private school it was way to expensive for me to do that.

I hate that in order to watch BU-TT and CU-Arizona in multiview I am also forced to watch two SEC games.

Well I am glad you are a Cyclone, but that would have been pretty cool for you to walked on at Miami. I have a co-worker who went to Miami in the ‘80’s and said it was just wild.

OU was 6-6 two seasons ago and has been sliding in their dominance the past 4-5 seasons just like NU did for a decade before the change.
100% yet the narrative will be the Big 12 is terrible and now that they are in a real conference that’s the reason. Nebraska wa sliding hard and the changes in the rules and sport over the years impacted them a lot. NIL and all of these rules will and have impacted OU quite a bit.

agree. This is why (as much as I hate it) to have Texas win the SEC the first year they joined. Then proceed to become an even worst version of who they are and cause turmoil in the SEC.

OU is in a slide regardless of what conference they are in. I don't think OU would have finished well in the Big12 either.

I was at Iowa and in the student section when we played Miami in 1992, they were #1 in the nation. Night game. Amazing scene, and a serious beatdown.

I think Gino Torretta just completed another pass.

And nearly lost to Houston this year yet all we will hear is that the so difficult SEC is why they're struggling
