MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

I don’t even have a preference in this LA-SD series but I’m loving it.
Lots of energy in this one. Padres fans were going crazy last night.

None of the two NL and two AL series currently in play are sweeps. I like it.

The Padres fans made it sound like the game was being played in a basketball arena...it was loud! The "Beat LA" chants were great! Something about the swagger of the Padres make them fun to watch...maybe because it pisses the Dodger fans off so much! LOL...anyway...it is a fun series to watch. A Mets-Padres series would be interesting...but I DREAD thinking about a Yankees v Mets World Series...please NOOOOOOOOO!

Tigers' pitching staff is nasty. Doesn't help teams when the starting rotation is Skubal and TBD (basically the entirety of the bullpen).

They mentioned on the radio broadcast that the seven highest paid players on the Tiger's payroll at the beginning of the season are not on the active roster.

Doesn't surprise me - the Tigers SOLD at the deadline. And for whatever reason when they rebuilt the bullpen in the wake of selling... it became the beast that it is.

Tatis is on a playoff heater like nothing any of us have ever seen.

Highest OPS in a playoff series in history:
Gehrig in 1928
Ruth in 1928
Tatis in 2024

Still probably another 1.5 games to go, but man he’s locked in.

Best player in the game hustling it out to get to second on an outfield pop fly.
Ohtani is special.
