NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

On a happier note, Chiefs go get Tyreek Hill!

That would be something.
Can't afford that. Devonte Adams might be possible if they can pick him in a few weeks with a lower cap hit. Amari Cooper from Cleveland or Darius Slayton from the Giants are 2 that seem to be possible.

They still haven't gotten 100% confirmation on the injury yet. Sounds like next week they will know for sure.

5-0 and it doesn't even feel like they have played their best game yet on offense. The defense is legit good and going to keep them in every game. Felt that Ju-Ju took a step towards being the goto WR again, Worthy had some chances but just couldn't make a couple plays last night.

Thet Hunt pickup is looking better and better each day.

If we can just figure out the RedZone, we will be tough to beat
tough to beat especially with the refs on the side of the Chiefs. I get so tired of all the whiners about what got called and what didn't get called. Maybe just throw a flag on every play and then find out what the penalty is. lol

How were the refs helping the Chiefs? They missed a PI on both teams, outside of that, there were no calls that I recalled favored either team.

I was speaking with tongue in cheek as all the complainers come out and say that. and agree with your reply. the ones who really irk me are the announcers just driving every play into the ground.

Chiefs had the most difficult schedule to start the season and are 5-0 Despite losing three starters to injury and the LT position being pretty subpar.

RT at times too, Taylor with yet another bonehead holding call on TD play that was called back. I think he's up 7 penalties now in 5 games after he had a league high 20 last season for 140 yards. One of the worse contracts they have on the payroll and unfortunately, he probably will be back in 2025 too as he'd be a $29.4 mil dead cap hit if they cut him after this season. Only $4.725 hit in 2026 though. Originally they brought him in to possibly play LT and thankfully they didn't have to.

Guy sucks, you would think that he would have figured out to to get lined up and not get caught leaving early.

Remarkably good outcome considering how bad it looked.

About as good as a result as you could of asked for after seeing the injury. 4 month recovery time, so he misses the rest of the season and will be back for off season workouts.

Rice will be missed, but they showed last night that Reid/Mahomes can adjust and still play at a high level. They are on their bye week this week, so now would be the time to start calling around and see what other teams are willing to trade for the team to get another quality receiver.

I don't know that they will add a WR of any significance. I bet if anything happens it will be closer to the trade deadline.
I agree and if they do I don't expect it to be a big name either like Adams, Cooper, or Johnson. Not sure what they can fit under the cap so that is going to factor in who they can even trade for and then comes the question of just how many draft picks is it worth too. Ju-Ju got it going Monday night and we know Hardman can break off a big play on a gadget play from time to time. Watson usually comes up with a big catch once in awhile. The biggest thing would be getting Worthy more involved and hope he rises to the challenge. If he can give them a deep threat and Ju-Ju stays healthy and handles the shorter across the middle routes they might be OK. I'm not counting on Hollywood Brown playing this year but if they get him back at all that will be a plus too.
