You might not wanna mention selling beer in your stadium. That’s a very sore subject around here.

I threw down for a couple of $12 Coors Lights last week at Camp Randall.

Way too much for a beer but holy cow was that nice to kick back and have a cold one taking in some live football.

I remember driving thru rural Arkansas on the way to the Independence Bowl back in the day. My main take away was 9 out of 10 people were just disturbing to look at - bad teeth, obese, unbathed, etc - just kind of like you were in the first 30 minutes of a horror movie.

But the 10th person? The most gorgeous young woman you have ever seen, and dressed like Daisy Duke on a hot day.

The incongruity of it all is what I remember.

Heck, even easier than that now. The first year they sold beer at the stadium (2022?) You had to go down to this area behind the Eastside concourse and drink it in the "Bet Saracen Beer Garden".

Finally this year you can now just get it on the normal concourse and take it back to your seat.

Now your just rubbing our noses in it. The lack of beer at ISU athletic events has been a point of contention for a long time.

Arkansas State played against a former walk on QB when they played Michigan. Rocco is going to pick these guys apart. i dont think campbell will run it up on these guys, but i definitely think we will have the ability to. I also dont think Michigan is that good this year. I'm confident in saying we're better than Michigan is this year. if we don't win by 17+ i think that would be a disappointing outcome

I found this interesting. Per ESPN,

Arkansas State lost "28-18 at Michigan last week but earned a $1.8 million paycheck. Iowa State is paying no guarantee because the game is part of a home-and-home series. The Cyclones play in Jonesboro next season."

I dont think the game will ever be in question, but no one should be surprised if it ends up something like 24-10. Not saying we don't have the ability to win by much more, I've just seen enough games under Campbell to know he is content keeping it vanilla in the 2nd half with a comfortable lead.

I guess that explains why ISU plays home-and-home series!

The only way it gets out of hand is because pick sixes and the like which I don't think will happen but is possible.

If ISU comes out sharp and is able to stay in control I'll stay with ISU scoring 30ish with a little more juice with conference season up next.
