“Good Iowa Team” is an oxymoron, did they even put up 20 points? When you have no offense you can lose to anyone
Man, you're making this hard. F*** iowa all day.

But in the interest of fairness, it was definitely either Beathard or Stanley in that NDSU loss.

Both are easily their two most capable/good quarterbacks by a mile in the "modern" KF offensive dictatorship. It was a legit win, no excuses.

They also absolutely punked us in every phase of the game from start to finish the year before. But admittedly, that's not saying much back then.

Edit: typo

Feeling the urge to go back and read all those old posts claiming that having Coach Prime at CU was such a big deal it would raise the value of the entire conference TV package.

Has Coach "Prime" canceled the post game yet? Wait, no, he will want it to explain how the game plan was perfect and everyone except his boys couldn't execute it.

Bet this game get really good ratings though, your point stands however

It always seemed temporary one way or the other. Either he was going to fail spectacularly and crash and burn, or he'd have success and be gone at the first opportunity. No real room for a middle ground

Not disagreeing with your statement. It's definitely warranted at this point. They aren't that good.

But there's other factors unique to Colorado that make them a good add.

There's a big split between the school administration and the AD in terms of what's best for Colorado. They've moved away from the big 12 culturally to their detriment in every way that has nothing to do with FB.

Former players and older fans and alumni, as well as the blueprint for what made them successful in the first place has been 100% clamoring for rejoining the Big 12 for some time. We need more of that buy-in IMHO, not less. So I'm fine with them in the conference in any form for that reason alone.
