10 year old tires

What rules do you guys use to determine you need new tires?

When I see wires lol
Once I was heading home after about 1000 miles on my motorcycle and was at the rest stop north of Ames. I’m walking back to my bike wondering why the middle strip of my back tire was a different color. All the black was gone and it was white with wires sticking out. Made it home to West Des Moines but I was pretty nervous the whole time.

Been there done that but with a 1968 MGB. Got home after 150 miles drive from Ames and saw cord showing on two tires. I drove that car like I stole it so that made me gulp.

You probably inflate your tires this way too.

There are 4 things I would never pick up/purchase from Wal Mart: Car repairs, sushi, steak, and women.
I would generally agree……for quite awhile WM tires were a solid choice. Bought quite a few sets from them. Best prices and the installation was ok, plus if you travel quite a bit, you were usually close to another WM if you had issues. Now, not so much.

Just purchased a couple of new tires for the truck from a local vendor. Gave WM a look and was pretty disappointed with what they were offering for their selection. Prices weren’t “low” either. Made the choice to switch pretty easy.
