MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

They were awful. I don’t get how things at that level get messed up so bad.

The best All-Star Game unis are the regular team unis. It was always so cool to see all those different uniforms on the field at the same time. But noooo, MLB can’t get any additional revenue if they don’t have special All Star Game jerseys to sell …

I'd love to see them bring that back. Wear their team unis but maybe all the same cap? I don't know, but there haven't been good All-Star uniforms in a long time.

Old college buddy from Iowa wants to comes see the Twins/Phillie afternoon game next week in Mpls. Any suggestions on ticket buying? I have not been to a game in years and it was usually with peeps who had season ticket packages.

MLB's "power" ratings at the break. How are your favs ranked?

Was a little surprised to see Yanks at #4 but in spite of tailspinning the last 30 days they are still tied for 2nd in the MLB for wins. Looked at the standings and they have had a tough schedule, most games versus plus .500 in the majors, Orioles are right up there to for schedule with plus .500 teams. Still, not escaping they played like crap in June and early July. Another schedule oddity, Yanks have had 10 more road games than home games. Bad stats, 1-6 in extras and 16-19 versus the East. Next 30 days will tell if division winner or wildcard also-ran. Not expecting big deadline trades other than a token reliever pickup or something, maybe a regular player "rental".

With a million teams still in the hunt for a WC it will be interesting to see who gives up and who stays the course to try and grab a playoff spot.

DJ LeMahieu has gone from a batting champ to one of the worst hitters in the MLB. Not sure how the Yanks can keep running him out there "hoping" he will be able to hit again. He's got two more years on his contract and has no trade value, nobody would take him even if Yanks paid half his salary. Guy is done. Toasted. 100% done. And there no way he is "coming back". He can still field but so can dozens of utility infielders and any number of minor leaguers in Yanks farm.. If it wasn't for that stupid contract they could just release him. Best thing for the Yanks would be if he goes on IL and they can call somebody up.

/end mini rant

I would be terrified to deal at the deadline with Tampa, they almost always win, and win big, in trades.

This was sort of cool. Get traded, take in some fans before you leave.

Arozarena is basically everything awesome about baseball. Guy loves the fans, and has always put on a show and made it fun. Not sure how anybody that's a fan of the game couldn't like the guy.
