Can't remember the year, but would love some commentary on the Cy-Hawk basketball game that went awry during the Prohm era. I think it was the one where Steve laid hands on Bohannon and Pemsl allegedly got stabbed when he fell into the student section. I would love some commentary in general on Cy-Hawk basketball during the Fran era and how our various coaching staffs interacted with them over the years. Don't be afraid to talk bad about the Hawks, boys! I know Blum isn't at least.

These were two different years.

The first one, where Prohm was out on the court was in 2018

The Pemsl incident was the following year, 2019

Didn't get the same breaks as 2020 with a very similar roster.
There were some putrid defensive efforts too. Against TTU we were absolutely awful on defense and got a ton of calls that went our way to get back into that game.

Against Iowa we **** the bed the way we always do. We got absolutely robbed in Morgantown. OU was just better. Against Baylor and Tech we straight up screwed the pooch on defense.

Not sure about the rest of the board but I have no interest in reliving some of the biggest ISU failures, particularly the 2021 football season. That SUCKED

2021 was awful. I was still in high school for the choke job the 05 football team had, so that is a little foggier for me. My vote is that 2021 was the most disappointing football season of my lifetime. Winning a North Division Championship would have been pretty cool, but in reality, that was a team that at best had a shot at maybe 9-3 and would have played as a double digit dog to Vince Young's Texas, and probably would have lost as ugly as that Colorado team did that year. But that '21 team had so much talent and in theory should have had enough to challenge to play in if not win the conference that year. Too much disappointment.

Would love some "looking back" on the Hoiberg flirting with U of M and then ultimately the exit to the Bulls...lots of little story lines....and of course any insights to the UAB lockerroom rumors...just some of those things....maybe even how we got that first transfer class.

Weak play calling.

Leaky back end of the defense, not having something like Texas fake punting at a weird time and something else Texas did that was really stupid in 2020 that I can't remember.

Also, Texas missed the long shot field goal at the end to tie, Tech nailed it in 2021 to win.

In 2020, it took a Mile Rose interception in the end zone to seal it against a bad BU team, 2021 weird plays at the end let BU escape. Both of those games started out bad for ISU, came down to a few plays at the end.

I could go on...basically stuff like that is the difference in wins and how a team is perceived.

Robbed in Morgantown but the defense was bad that day too.

Sure but having a better offense in general probably avoids those situations all together.

The Iowa game that year set the tone. If I remember right, wasn't didn't Hall have a shoulder injury for that game, it got hit and that is why he fumbled inside the Iowa 5 yard line? Also, wasn't Charlie Kolar injured or banged up for that game and ineffective too?

The game I want to see covered was the 2019 Iowa game. Such a strange day. Game Day was there for the first time, crowd was hyped beyond belief, weather delays, crazy plays during the game, a ghost holding call late in the 4th that bailed Iowa out. If there was ever an Iowa game that we lost where it looked like we clearly were the better team, that was it. Anyway, I would to get insights about that game/day.
