BLTs

Does anyone ever buy BLTs when eating out? I absolutely love BLTs and will make them at home, but refuse to buy when eating out because the lack of bacon used doesn't make the price worth it.

Exactly, bacon fast food restaurants use is nasty. I'm ok either way on mayo and miracle whip but definitely onion instead of lettuce. I usually go with the bacon at faraway from the meat counter

Poor Man's BLT: Bologna, Lettuce & Thousand Island Dressing.

BTW, soupy ice cream makes a great dip for potato chips if you feel you need to combine your dessert course with the vegetable.

My wife is allergic to pork, so we only have turkey bacon in the house.

A BLT in my house is like when your 4 year-old runs up to give you a hug and racks you in the nuts in the process. It's still ok, but you also want to throw it to the ground.

Try duck bacon, if you can get it. Might have to order it online. It's more expensive, but the flavor is really good, and it's sort of an upscale addition to a BLT rather than the downgrade that turkey bacon is.

You people are sick. Ruining a perfectly good BLT with cheese and peanut butter and eggs? Capital punishment is not good enough for such offenses.
Cheese has literally never made anything worse, only better. Unless you are lactose intolerant I suppose.

Ironically yes. Jimmy Johns makes a pretty good and generous bacon'd BLT in my experience.

My wife isn't a big tomato or lettuce person so she occasionally does a BBB sandwich where she swaps out the tomato and lettuce for more bacon. Something about the way the bacon compliments the other bacon is just spot on.
