The '07 Bruce-era throwback jersey game vs. Iowa is the only time I remembered it occurring.Have we ever done white Jerseys, or Away unis at Home before?
Sometimes, I wish our cardinal-white-cardinal would be a standard home look. But I digress.

Yes, good example. Everybody liked that one.The '07 Bruce-era throwback jersey game vs. Iowa is the only time I remembered it occurring.

That’s one way to double your post count.Matt Campbell also likes throwing games, dp you like that too?
In addition, football seems harder to try a color game compared to basketball. For one, you tend to see more of the crowd on TV for football. Secondly, bball isn't weather-dependent, so fans could wear the proper color of shirt (even a blank) (in theory) ... football you need having several layering options (as I mentioned earlier).ISU Fans have never been great at or cared enough for the color games.
White out has never been a thing, we have never pushed section striping, and Cardinal or Gold games have always been pretty poorly participated in.
I dont know what it is, I have a few guesses, but our fans just dont do good at it. I mean 95% of cyclone fans have Cardinal gear, then probably 50% have Gold gear. Maybe 30% have black gear, but may have other black outerwear that they can or will wear. I would guess less than 20% have white gear or white outerwear. I actually dont know if I know anyone with a white coat let alone a white ISU coat.
My guess is only about 50% will actually wear the proper color on the proper day. White out might be cool but JT wont look anywhere close to PSU because their just wont be enough participation.
Have you ever seen a stadium with so many shades of “cardinal”?ISU Fans have never been great at or cared enough for the color games.

Not just dumb but stupid.Matt Campbell also likes throwing games, dp you like that too?
That would be nice but it doesn’t look like it will happenI was over the black-and-white a long time ago. Let’s stick with school colors and variations of that.
...and past shades of gold. This is likely one of the reasons Pollard does not want to change the color scheme (again).Have you ever seen a stadium with so many shades of “cardinal”?
You'd think the AD has noticed that no one in the football team wears anything with the mustard yellow (or the I-state logo). Not sure who in the basketball team like the yellow jerseys they keep wearing....and past shades of gold. This is likely one of the reasons Pollard does not want to change the color scheme (again).
The current cardinal is fine. I like that it is a little darker than some previous shades.
The current shade of yellow/gold has worn out its welcome (in the FB uni) in all but possibly trim, nameplates and numbers. The brightness shines there, no pun intended. The current gold is also quite good in our logos and signage. It is too bright and shiney for large swaths on uniforms (FB uni, in particular). And for our greater history, we have had a darker shade.
I hope Pollard doesn't die on this hill, but it is time for a darker shade of gold.
I blame 2 things.Have you ever seen a stadium with so many shades of “cardinal”?
And double your dumb count and I hardly EVER dumb anyone but, this blatantly obvious troll deserved it.That’s one way to double your post count.
The cool thing about adopting a darker shade of gold, and not completely eliminating our current mustard gold, is that the BB uniforms could have the option of using either shade (current or darker). They could even have a set of each; they are inexpensive compared to FB unis. You'd think the AD has noticed that no one in the football team wears anything with the mustard yellow (or the I-state logo). Not sure who in the basketball team like the yellow jerseys they keep wearing.
I recall JTS looked pretty good for the CBA gold-out a few years ago. But that had a direct honorary "motivation," for lack of better term, I guess.
They should hand out oversized white t-shirts to slip over coats if they want the white out game to be effective.ISU Fans have never been great at or cared enough for the color games.

Might be possible with a few sponsors footing the bill. Everyone would see the names of those sponsors on the back of a shirt in front of them. Put an ISU logo on the front. They should hand out oversized white t-shirts to slip over coats if they want the white out game to be effective.
