^ True enough. Soares and the Brazil team failed to qualify this summer. Canada usually has a decent team and we know it's really important to Carleton to play on that team.
Bridget and the Lynx take on the Aces again on Tuesday 9 pm on NBA TV.
Update: This is another Cyclones versus Hawks game. Aces have been struggling with injuries and not playing like they did when they won it all last year. Hawk's Kate Martin got a start the other night so we might see her and Carleton on the floor for the opening tipoff.

Carleton was 5-7 from three and had 15 points and the Lynx sunk the defending champ Aces to a 5-5 record. All the Lynx starters were in double figures. I was, of course, blacked-out and couldn't watch. Might have to pop over on the 16th when Dallas is in town again. Lynx are in 1st place in the West.
Lynx beat Sparks 81-76 and improve to 10-3. Bridget with 11 pts on 4-7, 3-6.

For some reason the YouTube algorithm keeps showing me stories about this rookie Chinese center for the LA sparks (I can guess why) but I saw the other day she did have a breakout game. I think she could be more popular than Brink here if she’s good actually, kind of like how the dodgers had very popular Asian/latino players even before Ohtani.
Bit like the Yankee baseball announcers talking about the managers "circle of trust" . They are usually talking about average relief pitchers that have earned that circle of trust to come into the game in more critical situations and not just mop up duty. A big part of Carleton's success, and finding a niche in the league, is she has earned Reeve's trust. The Lynx are the perfect place for her.

I'm super glad Steph healed up and is getting to play pro. I still have a twinge of regret of what could have been the yr of her knee injury. The way the staff backed her during her recovery speaks volumes about how they care for their players.
Who is the near-middle lady (shorter blond)? I assume (?) that that is Audi's Mom (now a little thinner and with red hair).
