***Official 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Thread***

The metrics showed that comparisons of a team with Drake's efficiency numbers only win an opening round NCAA game a third of the time. Washington State's metrics looked like a team that can win an average of one game and done. They got their one. Saturday, they're done. And Illinois is on upset alert, IMO. Just keep winning games.

Kenny and Charles are like me and already used to the NBA's better...but fewer...replays. I think Clark Kellogg and lots of college fans don't even realize how much better it could be.

Samford coach could have challenged that foul (that was a block) in the NBA if they hadn't burned challenges already.

Clark Kellogg is just a douche. Defending the refs at end of KU game. Just gargling blue blood balls again.

Kenny and Charles are right that there's no reason you can't review that play where refs gifted KU free throws. It very likely could have been challenged and overturned in NBA this season.

The league has been doing some great things to improve officiating and get rid of cheap/dirty plays like shooters kicking out their legs.

Hello strangers.. Just popping in from Salt Lake City to congratulate you on your big win today!

At the same time the city has a definite buzz of non-sympathy for BYU choking in their game - less schadenfreude, than "I told you so/they deserved it". Cant wait for the fall when we Utes fans/Alumni/Boosters get to formally lock horns with the *bad* cougars again (as opposed to Houston, aka Good cougars).

Best of luck on your urn in the big dance, folks!

Im pissed about the blown call on the block vs KU, but Samford kept letting a Jayhawk free way down court on like 3 straight trips when they had the possession arrow. They blew it on defense late in that game over and over.

Interesting lines for Saturday:

Tennessee only -6.5 over Texas

Creighton only -5.5 over Oregon

North Carolina only -3.5 over Michigan State

Please beat Iowa Sunday. Thanks

10:45 a.m. local start in Salt Lake City on Saturday morning. Oof.
Man I wish I could afford to go to even one of the games here.. but things are soooo different than the 1990s tournaments I attended at the Jon Huntsman center - famous home of the legendary Larry Bird/Magic Johnson matchup.

He picked UK for his Final Four. He doesn’t know ****.

I saw that and wondered we he AND OTHERS chose Kentucky for the only non-chalk pick. I mean come on, not only boring but irrational.

Every 2, 3, and 4 in the west and midwest was a better bet than Kentucky.
