it's a bit murky but my online research says that for WI it's "up to the district" as to how they meet the hourly requirement but it looks like yes, a virtual day called far enough in advance can count toward total attendance.

Lol holy **** they updated us too, 9-14 inches. Dammit DH, he hasn't checked the snowblower yet this year. We are totally ******.

Looks like it’s finally going to start in Des Moines. We got that false snow earlier but I’m guessing now is the time it gets started!

Yeah and ******* flurries in Waukee. I know my wife is always disappointed, but if I don't at least 8 inches tonight, somebody is going to pay.
at least (what) 8 inches??? get, give, find? what are you doing with 8 inches tonight? That's an important part of your statement.

NWS is always high. Wunderground seems really accurate usually and they show 5 or so for Ames and 7-8 for Cedar Rapids.
