I can accept Dak, Tyreek, and McCaffrey winning the MVP, but I absolutely believe that Jackson doesn’t deserve to be MVP no matter what happens on Monday.
I agree Lamar does not deserve it at all. It's ridiculous. They are just looking for people. Purdy is better than Dak this year and also beat him head to head and has the better record. Dak only beat 1 winning team. Eagles at home. Lost to all the rest of the good teams. I don't think a WR or RB wins it. I really believe it's likely Purdy. Especially should he win. Because they are just flat out of excuses.
Jackson is not having good season even by his standard. They are 11-3 because of their #1 defense. To Purdy haters, Niners are winning despite of Purdy and Ravens are winning because of Jackson. It should be “Ravens are winning despite Jackson having subpar season because of their defense “
Not sure why national media hates Purdy. Any other QB with Purdy’s numbers will be a run away MVP front runner. Can you imagine if Trevor Lawrence or Kyler Murray has Purdy numbers?
The national media doesn't hate Purdy. We tend to focus on the doubters in this thread. There are a lot of people who think he is doing great. Sure, it's taking longer for some to come around because of where he was drafted, but there are a lot of people, especially really smart football guys, that are singing his praises.
Last year, “the niner defense was stellar and that is why Brock won” crowd (while wrong) had more of an argument. This year the defense is still good but can definitely have wtf moments and forget how to tackle for chunks of games…. And Brock still has them winning.
Then why is Jackson even in the MVP conversation? They are doing everything they can to keep the MVP award away from Purdy. Jackson absolutely doesn’t deserve to be MVP. Ravens are winning despite Jackson because of their #1 defense but he will win the MVP if Ravens beat Niners on Monday.
There are certainly a lot of the talking head media guys that keep putting up hurdles that they think Purdy needs to overcome to be considered good. Most of the guys are click bait clowns like Nick Wright, or Cowherd.
Follow the money and stop listening to a few talking heads. Purdy is the overwhelming favorite to win mvp in vegas.
Jackson is entering the MVP conversation because (other than Brock) there aren’t really many quarterbacks with outstanding statistical seasons this year.
The talking heads need to have something to talk about, so they try to make controversy about Brock to get ratings. The only real other QB options this year are Tua and Lamar. Allen has too many turnovers and Mahomes is having a rough year (relatively speaking). Dak ***** the bed against good teams.
The MVP goes to the best playing quarterback on a top seeded playoff team.
The “usual suspects” are having down years.

Not if he loses on Monday. Every major media outlets including ESPN is promoting Jackson for MVP which has huge influence on perception and MVP vote. If media has no influence, Jackson should not be in the MVP conversation. Now he will win it if he has a good game on Monday.
What if Niners lose and Purdy has 1TD and 2 or 3 interceptions? He should win no matter what but he won’t if he has a bad game.
Then he may lose it to the quarterback of the 1-seed AFC ravens. It’s basically turned into the “QB of the best team” award, unless there’s some statistical anomaly.
To be fair to Lamar, even if he doesn’t have as many passing TDs, he is also absurdly hard for teams to deal with, especially in the regular season. I agree he hasn’t played as well as Purdy this year, but if he outperforms him Monday, then good for him.
One game should not determine the outcome of the MVP race. Ravens are winning despite Jackson because of their #1 defense. If Purdy plays for the Ravens and has Jackson’s numbers, there is no way he will be in the MVP conversation.
Can't help but to think that BP's time behind a "mediocre" ISU oline, has been highly beneficial to his NFL success. The number of times he was flushed out of the pocket in college - uncountable.
Pretty sure Brock-Niners have benefitted greatly from the Clones oline weaknesses.
Running around like a chicken with its head cut off, certainly led to his NFL evolvement.
The Niner line has breakdowns, but damn, unlike the Clones line, I'm not screaming f*** you nonstop.
