A shout out to @Ms3r4ISU for being kind enough to share her good VB seats with me. Nice 3 set W by the ladies over TT.
Also supper at the Mucky Duck was a nice change of pace.

I won't explain how I got there, but I started down this rabbit hole of Christmas markets in Germany. I _really_ would like to experience that at some point in my life.

Hold on, going to go buy my Powerball ticket to fund that.

I go to the one in Chicago sometimes, but it probably doesn't compare to ones there.

I’ve said for many years that I wanted to do an early-mid December trip to Germany, etc. The Alumni Association always used to have one. Figured we’d bring the average age down. Don’t think they do it anymore.

Email Lainey Crawford or Shelley (I think it's Anderson) and ask about it. Some of the trips they do come from traveller's recommendations.

Almost every time I go to the doctor, which has been a lot, they ask me if I have fallen down lately. I'm freaking 65, not 95.

I am beyond pissed and will NOT fly American Airlines again. Six+ hours on this plane, we paid a ridiculous price for the seats, and they are little better than Economy plus. Slight recline, no separation between me and the schmuck behind me who keeps thumping my seatback.

Yeah, I know. First world problems. However, we've spent less on some international flights and had better seats.

So, have you not fallen recently? ;)

Old classmate of mine has a neurotically disease that is progressing and say's he likes to freak out the nurses who don't know him when he answers "Oh, yeah. I fall a lot!".

I am pretty confident I am the only Cyclone fan in the country that is watching the game tonight while eating brie and drinking wine from Slovenia. Going to throw in a slice of apple pie so I am going to be winning regardless of how the game ends.
I was mentally linking “watching the game tonight” with “from Slovenia” and wondered when you went there. Otherwise, good job on the classy dining.

"Supper" was a response to working out late in the afternoon and getting home too late to make a real meal. Checked frig and saw leftover brie (from having peeps over a couple nights back), some smoked salmon and a bottle of wine some neighbors gave me. Thought "I can make that work".

I'm honestly surprised they can grow grapes in Slovenia, but maybe it's closer to the equator than I think

Iowa IS closer to the equator than Slovenia.

Latitude of Iowa is 40° 36' N to 43° 30' N.

Slovenia is located around latitude 46.

Germany lies mostly between latitudes 47° and 55° N. Some of my favorite grapes are grown in Germany.

Lerkekasa Vineyard in Norway sits at a latitude of 59 degrees north, similar to Alaska. It is maybe the commercial vineyard located farthest from the equator.

Ok. I'm done wining now.
