eh, their AD is a bit of an ass too. Whatever happened to, if you got nothing nice to say. Just say nothing at all. Try not insulting the schools that saved you from the mountian west.

Lol this guy and those dooshcanoes in Utah are in for such a rude awakening. In multiple ways. Big 12 fans remember this kind of sh*t for years. Neither of them are doing their current or future athletes any favors. Probably not something they’ve dealt with before but we all know fans in this conference actually care.

I'm excited to go to a game in Ames - where's the best tenderloin sandwich? Also, Casey's breakfast pizza is damn good, I hope we can get them out west some day.

Utah has a lot of 'recency bias' fans that have the same 'holier than thou' attitude that we loathed from BYU fans for ages... I think the fans who've been around for the bad years (myself included) are happy to be in the Big-12. I'm happy for new matchups in a stable, competitive conference. Also happy we don't have to deal with $C after this season.

Have some friends in Adel that are thinking about making the trip to Provo for your game in Nov. this year, if they come I'll plan on joining them with a tailgating setup (Utah is on the road that weekend). Utah tailgates better than BYU but there are places you can enjoy alcohol and fun pre-game, even in Provo.

The best tenderloin in Iowa, ironically, is often available inside the stadium via a food truck on the east side on gamedays.

A Chuckies tenderloin w/ waffle fries is worth a visit all by themselves!

Their fans don't want to be here, our fans don't want anyone here that doesn't want to be here. Act like Texas and your ass is gone.

Wonder if that's the same guy who used to hit Cubs spring training games. I think I saw him set up at JTS once too.

Ferguson Jenkins was also a big fan. I got everyone to order the "Cyclone Special".

It is. They are at the Iowa State Fair every year. They've been at the Indy 500 and other places.

In my opinion the best tenderloin is not close to Ames. But if you have the time for it take the 3.5 hour drive to NE Iowa and visit St. Olaf tavern in the spit of a town St. Olaf to get their tenderloin. While you're there take a trip over to the Mississippi River towns of McGregor and Marquette. This is a beautiful part of the state with limestone bluffs that make you forget you're in farm country. It's nothing compared to the Utah landscape but it's pretty unique for this part of the country.

If you don't have time for that the two places I've found close to ames with good tenderloins are The Whistling Donkey in Woodward and The Lucky Pig in Ogden. Either one is about 30 minutes from Ames.

Utah might want to STFU. It wasn't that long ago that they were mountain west dwellers with sub par facilities. They can thank the Olympics for dumping millions of dollars of upgrades for the Salt Lake games.

I'm excited for all four corners. We've been through the possible destruction of the Big 12 on three different occasions. This is the first time being in this situation for Arizona, Arizona State and Utah. It's a ****** situation for fans to be in. Hopefully we can enjoy trips out west for a long time to come.

Dear Utah fans

We (the Big 12) are your new stepdad. You don’t have to like us, but you have to respect us.

Here’s another gem:

“It will serve as a decent lifeboat until a better opportunity comes along.”
Utah has a lot to be concerned about. First, they will get all the people moving out of AZ due to the extreme heat, and lack of water. Next, they will have even more trouble with lack of water (in Utah), due to overpopulation from the people from Arizona migrating to their immediate north, where else, to Utah, by 2050. You think the water problem is bad now? just wait.

They'll ALL be looking to migrate north, or to the upper midwest, or northeast. And some place with water would be nice. But not the flooding variety!

Edit: This a combined dump on the states of AZ and UT due to climate change. There is a bit of satire here, on my part. I hate to be doom and gloom.

Edit 2: And I'm not reveling in it. I hate seeing stuff like this.

Poor Arizona. Poor Utah. And that's not even including the weather.

Oh, and welcome to the conference. I guess.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Utah at all. But I take it that a lot of their fans must be insinuating that they are too good for the Big 12. Can't imagine any other reason for the disdain. In general I would think we would welcome all new conference members. The 16 teams should give us more strength and security going forward.
Your no fun! :D

Best tenderloin around Ames is a little ways west in Ogden Iowa at a bar called the Lucky Pig. Typical small town bar with quite a bit of seating.back room has Tvs for sports front room more small town Cafe.

How far is that from Springfield, MO? :D

Kidding, if I was closer, I'd try that out!

Now you did it! I'll be travelin' all over Iowa before I get to Ames!
