Lew needs to build one of these for KC's cat menagerie.
Man cats seriously need something like this.
Seeing them wandering around neighborhoods is pretty cringey for their safety and area wildlife.
A woman who lives by a friend of ours takes a bad of cat food and just dumps a trail on her drive. Two other neighbors have been trapping them and taking them to one of their farms. It was way overbearing and all kinds of “wildlife” was then showing up.
"Minnesota Naturalist" on FB just had a link and thread starting off with "Please follow directions from rehabbers, if you find baby bunnies". I don't think the most frequent posters there garden and I'd swear a lot of them would invite wildlife into their house to live, eat and sleep with them.
No surprise to anyone here that I will not be rehabbing Bunny Rats. Although right now I don't care of they eat some hostas since they are pretty much trashed for the year anyway. Probably too trashed for the short tailed ground rats to even be attracted to as forage.

I’m at the state fair.
Simple supper this evening ring bologna on the grill garden tomatoes and sweet corn.
I miss ring bologna. My wife thinks it’s like liver and onions level. I love the stuff.
Don't know about the ring bologna, but Polska Kielbasa and grits is a longtime comfort meal.
My windows are open. The Cicada Cricket Katydid Tree frog chorus is humming away. This is my happy place.

On the one hand, a flush letter said "we are moving forward with another candidate," and then they reposted the job yet again. Pretty sure they don't plan to hire anyone for that.
On another, there's an off chance of some homeschool band coming together. Kiddo might just get to do that yet.
On the third hand, our custodial night crew got one of our folks back from the day shift tonight. He's happy, we're happy, and we're all ready for summer to just end.

Did you see where Iowa Weselyn ( ?) Is selling a bunch of band instruments on their auction? No idea if it is the right instrument or the right size but thought I'd let you know about it
Well it certainly wasn't for me can't speak for KC. More like giving my a.c. a break and letting fresh air in the house.
