Honestly, independence. Maybe set up an arrangement with the MW like Notre Dame has with the ACC.

Add AZ, sit tight and wait for other heavy weight football programs to become available. Football is King and we have to make sure we have a chance in the playoffs, especially when the big10 and sec will find a way to make it harder for anyone outside those two confs to get in.
