Des Moines finally hit the unhealthy mark. Last night at 10 they showed the metro in the yellow "moderate" category today. Another epic fail by the weather people.
I'm not interested but thanks for letting me know they are hiring.I’m sure they’re taking applications if you’re interested.
I don't think anyone was predicting air quality to dramatically improve today.Des Moines finally hit the unhealthy mark. Last night at 10 they showed the metro in the yellow "moderate" category today. Another epic fail by the weather people.
No, but they said it would go from "unhealthy for sensitive people" to "moderate", instead it went the opposite way to "unhelathy".I don't think anyone was predicting air quality to dramatically improve today.
Getting worse.
It was already in the red-colored unhealthy category last night at 10.No, but they said it would go from "unhealthy for sensitive people" to "moderate", instead it went the opposite way to "unhelathy".
There was also that first year of fireworks being legal and turned the metro into a hellscape for about 3 days. If this stuff doesn't move out before next week, it's going to awful. It seems like the weather is creating a dome/cap around central Iowa and trapping the smoke. I remember a few years ago that the weather conditions trapped some hog manure smell over the Des Moines area.
Yeah, i understand that. Just gets frustrating when I base outdoor activities off their forecast and they've been completely wrong twice in the last 4 days now, either about heavy rain or smoke. It was already in the red-colored unhealthy category last night at 10.
Also, remember that those are very generalized AQI forecasts for the whole next day. It's not even 9am yet.
And "they" is pretty broad.
Getting worse.
Yeah, this **** is getting old, you sit around indoors for 8 months because it's too cold then when it's suppose to be nice we have air quality warnings since early May.**** this ****.

I have to be outside in this **** and have sensitivity issues is why I'm getting frustrated. The smoke is also irritating my eyes quite a bit this morning. Thanks a lot Canada.
