Can you get a cost? We just went over Christmas (one of the most expensive times) and it was around 450/head after bags.
Thats really cheap....I looked during that time, and recently too and everything I saw was close to double that. Would love to know where you book through, cuz I want to be able to find those rates. Not saying you didnt just saying I never can find cheap flights.

The charter is 600-700 per person. Which I am sure Includes everything, and also would depend on the number of people, whether you fill the plane, size of plane etc.

But when I looked at going to Mexico during the same window everything was at least that price or substantially more not including fees. But I am not sure I have the best way to find the best price.

I have looked at going to BYU game, last I looked, prices there were about 500 before any added fees.

Yes, when I’ve looked into booking charters for a vacation it’s way too expensive because you have to count the hours flying there and then the flight has to fly back without you and then they would have to come back and get you when your vacation was done. This is assuming you are staying for awhile and the plane isn’t just sitting at the airport a few hours waiting for you.

Sun country out of the twin cities. I’m near clear lake and a travel agent booked it for us.

I didn't know that travel agents still existed for air travel
They do. I had not used one since our honeymoon and this was for our 25th anniversary. Actually ended up with some cheaper discounts for excursions, so it did actually save us money. It was our first international travel so we wanted to use one for guidance.

Well, ESPN+ is still a streaming service.

Regular ESPN still matters in homes and around town in bars which is why our Big 12 boat is floating and the Pac boat is potentially sinking.

I actually think if you lay out the caveat "streaming only" that Amazon Prime is far and away the best option for a sports conference or pro sports league. People have it anyway like a utility. They get it for a year, not a month at a time. There's not one streaming service that is like Coca Cola of the business. Some feel like Netflix is that, but someone else feels like HBO Max or Disney + is that. Amazon is the only one where I have it for several reasons and I'd probably keep it even if my viewership of the video content drops.

Do you get snow for snowmobiling and ice for fishing in that area?
Yeah, I do neither so I don't know how good they are, but I see people ice fishing on the ponds and the snow just left the fields the last day or two outside of around fencelines and groves.

Portland Timbers fan started something to try to get MLS to pay for Apple TV in bars of MLS cities when he couldn’t watch their opener at a bar lol.

You make good points but on this one I think you're speaking as a Big 12 fan. I don't think non-Big 12 fans are any more interested in KSU v. Texas Tech than you are in BC v. GT.
The difference, and it’s a huge one, is that Big 12 fans are interested in KSU-TTU, and ACC fans are not interested in BC-GT. The Big 12 is more valuable than the PAC or ACC because the Big 12 has good consistent viewership and the ACC and PAC don’t. Hell, a couple years ago Okie State- ISU went head to head with the Pitt vs the Big 10s white whale in Notre Dame, Fox vs ABC, and OSU-ISU had over 400k more viewers. Clemson would have prime time ESPN games vs Miami and draw very underwhelming numbers.

I don’t think the new Big 12 has much interest among fans outside the conference, save for a few big games. But the ACC and definitely the PAC don’t have great interest among fans within their own conference.

SicEm365 did a podcast on what the P12 is up against contract wise and loosely on realignment.

I find it curious that people would actually sit and listen to a couple dudes languishing on about sports for 20-30 minutes. Nothing crystalizes thoughts like writing them down. That's why I enjoy these forums but wouldn't spend a nacho watching or listening to a pod. It must be generational?

And yet you spend the same amount of time (or more) reading sports comments from many anonymous dudes on a message board. Seems just as curious.

But I can read hundreds of posts while those dudes are jabbering on. That's the point. I'll bet that pod could be summarized in a sentence or two. What a waste. Girls don't.

Well it took me more than the normal amount of time to understand your point.

You know that's untrue, Mister Larson.

There is certainly value in writing your thoughts down, editing and rewriting before finalizing a take via message board. I'm not sure it has to be an either/or thing with respect to podcasts, tho.

The million dollar question here is, does posting exclusively in Italics enhance said crystallization? :jimlad:
