Started watching the KU-OSU basketball game. There is a police officer sitting behind the end KU bench by the scorers table. And he comes out onto the floor at timeouts! Huh? Never seen that before. Are the OSU fans that bad that Bill Self feels threatened?

Yeah, I saw him standing behind the officials when they were reviewing a play at the monitor. Thought it was weird.

FWIW, SEC football Coaches have had State Troopers as escorts for most of my life.

If the place was full 90% of the fans would be 20 ft above the court. Iba galleger is a interesting arena.

Probably just extra precaution. Those OSU fans are dickholes and I’m sure they have a a couple six shooters ready blaze at that traitor Bill Self. Also probably a chance of a court storm for the same reason.

If you've ever been there, there is no space between the bench and stands. They can't stand there without blocking a small path. Also can't observe stands past bottom 5 from there. They are supposed to observe.

I see the officials got word to not call fouls every time OSU drove to the basket. Just a game too late.

ISU has had troopers escort FB coaches for a long time. But I haven't seen one on the BB court.
We've had ISU Police sit behind opposing coaches at bball games for a long time, though I can't say I am sure if they still do or not.

I had an AeroE classmate who basically switched from AeroE to law enforcement, which I thought was really unusual. Used to see him all the time at games on TV, since sitting right behind the coaches/ This was mostly right after I graduated (94). I was like "hey that's Isra!"

Looked him up on Linked In, he is a Fed with DHS now.

I wonder if Self does this after the interaction he had with that dip **** fan of ours that tried to go after him after the game?
